Application C:  Using Data to Improve Instruction
District will determine appropriate Instructional Improvement System (IIS) tool that meets USDOE definition.
Assess the use of the IIS at the classroom level and continue to deepen the focus on data-based instruction.

Review current process for removing ineffective teachers and principals and develop plan to remove persistently low performing teachers and principals.
Develop a plan for highly effective teachers to receive additional compensation if they take on additional responsibilities (such as Lead Teacher).

Conduct a needs assessment to determine areas of need in hard-to-staff subjects using ODE's Teacher and Principal Distribution Data Analysis tool.
