South Central FFA attends District 2 Forestry

On September 14, the South Central FFA attended the 2011 District 2 Forestry contest in Bucyrus. South Central took 24 students and placed 4^th out of 11 teams. Before taking the test, students went through sessions that taught them how to judge the trees. Students had to determine how many board feet a tree would produce, identify types of trees, and take a knowledge test. The top six will go to State Forestry on October 1^st. The top six were: Amy Gannett, Rebeka Mikalacki, Sara Gannett, David Seidel, Dakota Jones, Alex Knoll. Congratulations to all who participated.
