It is hard to believe we are already talking about semester exams!  The South Central High School staff would like to thank our students, parents, and community for a great first half of the school year.  We would also like to wish everyone a safe, fun, and restful Christmas break.  Please review the attached schedules and details for information regarding semester exams.  If you have any questions about the requirements or expectations, please contact the office at (419) 752-3354

  1. Exam schedules are designed to help a student manage the rigor of exams worth a significant portion of their final grade.  Students are encouraged to use their time wisely in order to maximize their success.
  2. Odd exams are on Thursday, December 19th and even exams are Friday, December 20th
  3. Students are expected to take their semester exams in the assigned exam slot.
  4. Any 1st or 3rd period exam missed can be made up during the 5th-period exam make-up/lunch period slot on Thursday, December 19th.
  5. All 5th-period exams will be taken during the 11:49 a.m. - 1:09 p.m. exam block.
  6. All students present during exam make-up slots on Thursday and Friday should follow their normal 5th-period class schedule.
  7. Lunches will run as normal on Thursday, December 19th.
  8. Lunches will be available on Friday, December 20th.
  9. Unless a student needs to make-up an exam the student day on Friday, December 20th will conclude as follows:
    1. Students who do not plan to eat lunch and have their own transportation can depart at 12:00 p.m.
    2. Students needing lunch can eat at 12 p.m. and depart at 12:30 p.m., provided they have their own transportation
    3. Students who require school transportation will depart at the normally scheduled early release time of 1:30 p.m.
  10. College Credit Plus students with modified schedules due to college/university calendars should submit a note to the office stating the times they will need to be on campus. This should include one arrival and one departure time.  Please understand that the safety of our students is paramount therefore we only want students traveling to and from school once as they would on a normal school day.
