It is hard to believe but we start school next week! I hope you all had an exciting summer break and are excited to see us! There are some new faces in our building with Kaitlin Mabrey as our new Music teacher and Julie Gardner is our new elementary resource teacher. Please take some time to welcome them to the South Central family.
I wanted to remind parents about our new car drop off/pick up lanes. My hope is that we can keep cars off the road and make everyone safer. When dropping off your student, please pull forward in the lane and try to have your child exit the car on the driver's side (closest to the school). I would also ask that you do not wait until you are directly in front of the entrance to drop off you child. This will help keep the flow of cars going and again make it safer for everyone.
I am looking for volunteers for various reasons. One pressing need is cafeteria supervision from 11:20-12:20. I am always in need of help with supervision, having students read to someone, math facts, spelling, etc. If you would be willing to volunteer at the school please reach out to the school at 419-752-5021 and let us know how you would be willing to help.
Throughout the year you may have questions or concerns about various topics. I want you to feel comfortable to reach out to me and know that I will do my best to address them quickly. The staff looks forward to seeing you all at Open House on Thursday, August 19 from 6:00-7:00 and next week for the first day of school!
