SC Presents Dinner Threatre

South Central High School will present its 16th annual Dinner Theatre on March 18 and 19, 2016, at the South Central K-8 building.

The production features a full course meal, served to guests by a student wait staff comprised of members of the South Central High School and Middle School choirs. During dessert, the Dinner Theatre cast of 15 will perform on the stage. Featured in the performance will be selections from various Broadway and off-Broadway shows, including Newsies, Movin’ Out, Seussical, The Music Man, Rocky Horror Show, Contact, Rent, Blues Brothers Revue, and more.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 17, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the SCHS choir room. Phone orders may be placed at that time by calling419.752.3354 (on the 17th only). After the 17th, those wishing to purchase tickets may call 419.681.5552.

SCHS Black & Gold - National Anthem
The SCHS Black & Gold will sing the National Anthem when the Tribe play the Mets on Sunday, 17 April, at 1:10 p.m. We've been given some great seats in the lower box section, down the 3rd base line.

These $32 seats are yours for only $20, with a small portion going to the SC Choral Department.

14th Annual Power-lifting Meet

South Central High School would like to take this opportunity to invite your student athletes to compete in our 14th Annual Power-lifting Meet on Saturday February 27th, 2016 The meet will be held in our High School Building. Our meet will include Bench Press, Dead lift and Squat.  The rules are enclosed.   Please have your athletes bring their own belts and chalk if they would like to use it.  There will be no lifting aids permitted. (Wraps, shirts, suits etc…) Locker rooms and concessions will be available.  This meet is for Jr. High to 12th, girls are welcome to compete, and there will be 4 separate girls divisions.              Weigh-ins will be 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. and competition will start at 10:45 a.m. A brief coaches meeting will be held to discuss competition rules and answer any questions.  The registration fee will be $10.00 per lifter.  Spectators: Student admissions will be $2.00 and Adult admissions $3.00.  Awards will be given to the top 7 boy lifters in each weight class, top five girls in each weight class place and Trophies to the top 3 teams on boy’s side.  There will be two trophies for girl’s side.  We are adding a Jr. High division this year for awards purposes (plz when replying let me know how many are high school or jr. Stuffed Animal Toss
South Central is hosting an event for a "stuffed animal toss" with the goal of collecting new or lightly used stuffed animals.  These stuffed animals will be donated to local first responders for use in situations that involve young children to help comfort them during times of sadness.  We hope the night is a huge success.  It will include representatives from 6 groups Greenwich Police,Tri-County Fire, North Fairfield Fire, Huron Sheriff, Huron Highway Patrol, North Central EMT.  Thank you in advance for your time and any support you can provide.
