Parent Meeting
South Central High School will have a Parent Meeting to discuss the new graduation requirements for the class of 2018 and beyond. We recommend parents of current 7th-9th graders attend the meeting on Thursday, January 29th at 6:00 pm in the high school cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you there.
Jazz Festival
The South Central Bands will host a Jazz Festival on Saturday, February 28, from 5-8 pm in the SC Middle School Cafetorium. The Terra State, Bellevue High, and South Central High School Jazz Bands will be performing, with more to be confirmed. This special event will also include a meal, a dance floor, and a silent auction.

The meal will consist of homemade soups, bread, salad, beverage, and dessert. Meal cost is $7 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. Kids 5 years old and under eat free.

The silent auction will consist of a variety of donated baskets. Proceeds from this event will go toward sending the South Central Bands to Disney World Florida in Spring 2016.

For tickets and more information, please call Madison at 419-681-5159.

January is School Board Recognition Month-THANK A BOARD MEMBER!
Every year in January, we salute a special group of individuals who establish the policies and vision for our schools, the five elected members of the South Central Local School District’s Board of Education.  The men and women serving South Central Local Schools are Mr. Bryan Hamman, Mr. Bob Morgan, Mr. Jeff Oney, Mrs. Leann Palm, and Mr. Mike West.
Coaches Needed
The South Central Softball program is in need of a Varsity Assistant Coach and a JV Coach.  If interested, please email a letter of interest and a resume to Darren Hunt, Athletic Director, at dhunt@south-central.org.
Winter Weather Procedures
Winter weather season is upon us. Below are some frequently asked questions regarding school delays and closures.

Q. When is the decision to delay or cancel school made?
A. As early as possible. Usually, the decision to delay or cancel school will be made no later than 6:00 a.m. In some cases, the decision may be made the night before, if weather conditions warrant. We cannot make decisions to delay or cancel school based upon a forecast alone.
