Happy St. Patrick’s Day! With spring right around the corner, I’m sure most of you are ready for some warmer weather. I know I am! As it warms up encourage your kids to get outside and off technology (gaming and social media). Please make sure you are having talks with your student about their digital footprint and being aware of their presence on social media.

• We are looking for 7th grade parents to help with the 8th grade Farewell Dinner on May 3. If interested contact the Middle School office at 419-752-0011. • Any parent planning on going to Washington D.C. please call the office by next Friday if you have a preferred roommate. Rooms are priced at four to a room however you can make a request for a double or even a single at an additional cost.
• Sign up is open for the SC Eclipse 5K. See attached flyer.
• Thanks to the 8th grade parents that have sent in baby pictures and other pictures from your child's years here at SC. We don't want to leave anyone out of the 8th grade movie so make sure to get those pictures to Mrs. Kluge as soon as possible. She is also looking for pictures from field trips, concerts and sporting events that the 8th graders have participated in over the years. You can send them to kkluge@south-central.org or drop them off in the office

• Congratulations to the Band for qualifying for State Large Group Contest this past weekend. The only combined HS/JH Concert Band to qualify for State!

• Remember to access Progressbook to check your student’s grades and if they have any missing assignments. Eligibility for sports is checked weekly. There is now an app for Progressbook on your mobile device as well.

• Check out the daily announcements posted to the website. We have both a video and a print version available. Go to the Middle School page on the school website and then find the “Daily Announcement” link.
• A new place for homework has been created and will be added to each day. It is on the south-central.org website. From the homepage, click on "menu" and scroll down, you will see a link for all 5-8 homework.
