South Central Local Schools continue to need substitutes, especially educational aide substitutes! The administration recently modified its requirements for an individual to qualify as an educational aide sub--applicants need a minimum of a High School Diploma, apply for a Student Monitor Permit through ODE (along with appropriate background checks), and complete a school employment application. CHROMEBOOK INFORMATION: We are opening the Chromebook insurance window starting Jan 4, 2022 for two weeks. If you haven’t yet bought insurance for your student’s Chromebook, (once purchased) the student will be eligible to take the device home with them for the remainder of the school year. After these two weeks, the insurance window will not be open again until next school year. For any questions email ssparks@south-central.org or bsmith@south-central.org

South Central Board of Education meeting has been canceled for tonight, December 21, 2020. It has been rescheduled for Monday, December 28, 2020 at 7:00 PM in the High School Library.

RTS Plan After much data research and board and parent input, it has become apparent that South Central should return to school 4 days, Monday- Thursday with Friday being a remote day. Effective Monday, September 28, all students, regardless of last name, except for those on SchoolsPLP, will return full time Monday thru Thursday with Friday being a remote day of instruction This will allow for deep cleaning of our facilities and buses. I thank you for your cooperation and support as we navigate these challenging waters. I believe our school system to be safe for your children and mine.
