Calling all K-6 graders to come join the SC Marching Band for our 8th Annual BitB evening!
Take the field with the marching band on Friday, Oct. 9th.
BitB students will get into the game for FREE (but parents must pay to enter, $8 per person / $6 per student, or purchase a presale adult ticket for $5 and student presale for $4 from the HS/JrH offices)
Participant cost is $30 and includes a BitB T-shirt to wear to the game and an instrument or show ribbon to play/twirl during halftime. Each additional child from the same family is $25 each.

Both our Urban and Rural teams took FIRST PLACE overall in the county competition!

We are excited to share our first artwork in our new display at the South Central K-8 building. Thanks to a generous donation, Mrs. VanBuskirk was able to make her vision come to life this summer and install a new gallery wall. This gallery wall gives our students a space to professionally and proudly display their artwork.
Our first featured artist is 2nd grade student, Emma Gayheart. Her artwork is titled Rainbow Splash and it was made with tempera paint, marker and crayon on paper.
Our second artist is 2nd grade student, Everly Prelipp. Her artwork is titled Cool Splash and it was also made with tempera paint, marker and crayon on paper.

Miss McCormack's 1st graders listened to the book, A Hero like You, prior to Patriot Day. They learned that heroes don't always have to be policemen, firemen, or teachers! Each student drew a picture and wrote about their hero, and then on September 11th they shared about their hero with their classmates. We found out that all HEROES HAVE HEART! ❤️Some heroes were even found within our South Central Elementary School.
We hope to see you at our 11th Annual Parade of Bands this Saturday. An evening filled with awesome musical performances by amazing, hard working, dedicated students from around the area.

We are incredibly proud of EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of our Cross Country athletes. The conditions were tough, but they continued to push, encourage one another, and give it everything they had.

The Senior Team captured the Ohio Avian Quiz Bowl State Championship, finishing 1st overall, and also earned 3rd place in Poultry Judging. With their state championship, the team has qualified to represent Ohio at the National Avian Quiz Bowl in Louisville, Kentucky, this fall.
