📖 Mrs. McCormack's 3rd graders read the book, "Do You Love Snow Cones," and of course had to make the special treat. The students used a little snow cone machine, just like they do in the present day, to get the ice crushed and then added yummy flavors to their treat. While enjoying their snow cones they used the book as a resource to fill out the Now and Then worksheet. They all agreed that this was a great way to reward them and their hard work they've put in this year for their Reading group time.

Summer can bring changes to routines, busy schedules, and added expenses for families. To help support our community, Simon Acts, the New London Rotary United Fund, and generous local donors have partnered together to provide free summer food baskets for local families with school-aged children attending South Central Schools.
These baskets are expected to include non-perishable food items such as cereal, peanut butter, jelly, macaroni & cheese, tuna, soup, canned fruit, snacks, and more.

Please complete and return the request form to Miss Johnston, School Social Worker, by May 15, 2026. Forms can be:

Our chapter was named a Gold Rated Chapter, one of just 25 in the state, and also recognized as a Top 10 Chapter in Ohio for Strengthening Agriculture.
From charitable giving recognition to multiple state proficiency awards, our students represented us at the highest level.
Congratulations to Troy Ayers, Wyatt Hall, Alex Hamons, and Ella Sanders on being accepted into the FFA Works/RISE Program with Sunrise Cooperative.
A special shoutout to Isabella Lucha for placing 2nd in Accounting and 3rd in Poultry Production, and to Deputy Lance Seaman and Mrs. Kristin Seaman for receiving Honorary State FFA Degrees.
We are proud of all our members for their hard work and dedication!!
